Ashwagandha occupies the same place in Ayurvedic medicine as ginseng in Chinese medicine. It is the best anti-aging herb, especially for muscles, bone marrow, and semen, as well as for people with a predominant Vata constitution. Ashwagandha stops aging and activates anabolic processes. Also, it is used for general weakness of the body, for long-term chronic diseases, overwork, insomnia, nervous exhaustion. It can be used externally for ulcers, wounds, abscesses.
